I’m so honored and excited to be a part of the Indra’s Grace teacher training program again this year. Since completing my 200-hour teacher training with Sandra at Indra’s Grace in 2012, I have been deeply involved with our teacher training programs. In 2014, I furthered my studies with a 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training program at Sadhana Yoga in Hudson, NY, focusing on Vinyasa and Bhakti yoga.
My 200-hour training at Indra’s Grace was rooted in the fundamentals of traditional Hatha yoga, providing a rich and thorough coverage of Pranayama and the subtle, often understated aspects of the yoga practice. The advanced 300-hour training at Sadhana Yoga focused on the practice of Vinyasa yoga and deepened my understanding and practice, emphasizing the philosophy of ancient yoga texts, Bhakti—the yoga of devotion, and Naad yoga, which includes chanting, mantra, and harmonium. Additionally, I have studied Transforming Emotional Suffering with RAIN under the guidance of meditation teacher Tara Brach, focusing on self-compassion. My holistic approach to wellness is also supported by my training as a Reiki Master and CranioSacral Level 1 Practitioner.
My journey has been one of integrating the spiritual and soulful tools I have learned through yoga into life off the mat. I weave self-compassion into my teaching and everyday life, believing it to be the cornerstone of personal and communal transformation. My goal is to translate these experiences into practical, beneficial guidance for students, helping them cultivate self-compassion and kindness in their daily lives. It is my heartfelt desire that the knowledge and compassion cultivated through our training programs will ripple out, creating positive change in the world.
Dan began a yoga and meditation practice December 2011, and has approximately 9 years of experience as a yoga and meditation instructor. His formal training is primarily in Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra, with a strong focus in meditation and pranayama practices. Dan’s formal yoga and meditation practice has given him the clarity to navigate life’s challenges more gracefully, and to recognize the body’s stress signals to better self-regulate the nervous system.
Dan began teaching regular studio classes in 2015 following a yoga mentorship program. After a few months of teaching, he knew this was something he would be doing the rest of his life. He went on to complete a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training program in 2016 through 3Tree Yoga in Fort Worth, TX, a 300hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in 2018 through Embrace Yoga in Washington, D.C., and a second 300hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in 2019 through Indra’s Grace Yoga. In May 2019 he had the great opportunity to learn the techniques of iRest® Yoga Nidra and became an iRest® Level 1 Teacher.
In addition to offering regular public yoga classes, Dan also offers special classes, workshops, and private sessions to best accommodate students’ needs.
Dan’s goal as a yoga teacher is to always show up for his students. He strives to help students feel safe, comfortable, and accepted no matter who they are. His hope is for them to rejoice in their individuality, and to take comfort in knowing that we all contain the same goodness, kindness, and love within.

She brings an experience with these teachings that allows students to more palpably understand how the human body systems, mind, and emotions are interwoven and how each one supports the other.
“Completing YTT through Indra’s Grace has absolutely been one of the best experiences of my life! The depth of information about all things “yoga” was amazing and each time we met, it left me fulfilled but yet wanting more. I don’t believe that there are better teachers than those that provided our instruction and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. If you are thinking at all about becoming a yoga teacher, Indra’s Grace would be well worth your while!”
“Indra’s Grace is above and beyond most teacher trainings. Other students in my training classes had taken training elsewhere but did not receive the in-depth knowledge that is truly required to be an excellent yoga teacher and yogi. Diving deep into the meaning of yoga and how to be a genuine yogi was so powerful. If you are looking to stop the record in your head telling you that you are not enough, this training is for you! Sandra and Jenny are Truly compassionate, caring and provide step by step instructions for yoga, a deeper spirituality of ones choosing which results in self-acceptance and compassion to help heal humanity.”
“If you’re experiencing even the smallest of callings to take the training, I recommend going for it. This isn’t just about learning how to inhabit poses and how to teach. It’s a deep and non-judgmental exploration of self — our habits, our blocks, and our limiting beliefs. Sandra and Jenny are beautiful guides. This training has changed my life, opening me up to living more authentically and with radical self-love. Give yourself this gift!”
“10 Stars! I would recommend Indra’s teacher trainings because you get the FULL yoga training and so much more! It has been truly transformational for me!”
“The ability to take classes on line and on demand made teacher training possible for me this year. I have wanted to do this for a long time. I wanted to deepen my own understanding of yoga, and came out with so much more – also more understanding of pranayama and meditation and feel that the basis of love and respect for others should be shared.”
“A life changing Program for anyone who is interested in self discovery or to become an empathetic/compassionate yoga teacher. Experienced, compassionate, and devoted teachers and fellow yogis. Embarking on this adventure is the best thing I have ever done in my life. So grateful, and thankful. Lots of love!”
